GimmeJob (gimmejob.in) · Effective date: 16 July 2026 · Last updated: 16 July 2026
1. Overview
GimmeJob ("the platform") is a web-based career-preparation platform offering resume analysis, interview practice, aptitude preparation and related tools. Because the platform reads your resume and practice answers to give you feedback, this policy explains exactly what we process, where it goes, and how to delete it.
2. Who we are
GimmeJob is provided by TaruniLakshmi Ventures Pvt Ltd, which operates the Cossine Labs brand ("Cossine Labs", "we", "us"), Hyderabad, Telangana, India. For the purposes of the GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), TaruniLakshmi Ventures Pvt Ltd is the data controller / data fiduciary. Contact: hello@cossine.com.
3. Information we process
a. Account data
We use Firebase Authentication for sign-in. We process your email address and, where provided by Google sign-in, your display name and profile photo URL, together with the unique account identifier Firebase assigns you.
b. Resume & career data
When you upload a resume or fill in career details (education, skills, experience, target roles), we store them under your account and use them to generate your analysis, scores and recommendations. We do not sell your resume, and we do not share it with recruiters or employers without an explicit action from you.
c. Practice activity
Your interview answers, aptitude attempts, scores and progress are stored so you can track improvement and appear on the leaderboard (which shows a display name of your choosing, never your resume).
d. Diagnostics and usage data
We collect standard web analytics and error logs (pages visited, device type, approximate region) to keep the platform fast and reliable.
4. AI processing
Resume analysis and interview feedback are generated by third-party large-language-model providers acting as our processors. When you request an analysis, we send the relevant content (your resume text or practice answer) to the provider to generate feedback. We configure providers so that your data is not used to train their models. AI feedback is guidance, not a guarantee — see the Terms of Service.
5. Third-party services
- Firebase Authentication & Cloud Firestore (Google) — accounts and data storage.
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
- Razorpay — payment processing (see section 6).
- AI providers — analysis and feedback as described in section 4.
6. Payments
Paid plans are processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or banking details are entered directly with Razorpay and never touch our servers; we receive only a payment confirmation, plan identifier and billing contact needed to activate your subscription and issue invoices.
7. Cookies & local storage
We use strictly-necessary cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions and preferences, and analytics cookies where permitted. Where consent is required, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies.
8. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract — account, resume, practice and subscription data: processing needed to provide the service you signed up for.
- Consent — non-essential cookies and optional communications.
- Legitimate interest — security, error logging and abuse prevention.
9. Data retention & deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete uploaded resumes at any time from your account, or delete your entire account (in-app or by emailing us), which removes your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention of billing records.
10. International transfers
Our processors (Google, Vercel, AI providers) may process data on servers outside India, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, DPDP Act or similar), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, and port your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority or the Data Protection Board of India. Email hello@cossine.com and we will respond within 30 days.
12. Children's privacy
The platform is intended for users preparing for employment and requires you to be at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced on the platform or on this page, and the "last updated" date above will change.
